Welcome to Twin City Elementary! We currently have 333 exceptional students enrolled at Twin City with a fantastic staff of 52 dedicated professionals. Our school is unique in that we house the Highly Capable program for the elementary schools, support the English Language Leaner program and provide more intensive programs for students in need of Special Education.

Twin City is implementing the Integrated Thematic Instruction model which contains nine body-brain-compatible elements of curriculum development and instruction. They include: absence of threat/nurturing reflective thinking, meaningful content, enriched environment, adequate time, immediate feedback, movement, choices, collaboration and mastery/application. Twin City is proud to be the pilot site for NW ESD 189's Response to Intervention program. A cadre of 9 staff members were involved in trainings last year and we are in year two of implementation. Response to Intervention is a three tiered model that focuses on improving student outcomes. It is designed to provide immediate interventions for students who are struggling and not at grade level benchmark. We currently are providing support to approximately 75 students in grades kindergarten through third with support expanding to fourth and fifth grades in the near future.
